Sheila E Rocks City Hall

Sheila E received a recognition award from City Hall presented to her by LA's city Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa. She has been an inspiration to many Latin women going in to the music business and also choosing intruments so many men have chosen and very few women.
Thanks Sheila for inspiring others to go after their dreams.

Jimmy Smits and Shiela E?

Ok, Ok, we are witnessing Jimmy Smits on stage with Sheila E. This is Jimmy's close up pic, i will post one with Sheila. Here they are performing live on the south lawn for the Latin Heritage ceremony hosted by LA's mayor Antonio Villaraigosa.
This is my second year in attendance. I couldn't stand in line for the free food, but I tell you something, it smelled good.
Mayor Antonio also showed off his talent performing with Sheila E on stage just before Jimmy jumped on. I guess the stage wasn't big enough for the two of them.

Garfield"s Hero

I was so excited to have my pic taken with one of ELA's most celebrated heroes. Heroes such as Mr. Jaime Escalante, a teacher working at Garfield High School who went over and above the call of duty, inspired a successful film starring James Edward Olmos, titled "Stand and Deliver". It just so happened I attended the same school for two grades, and I remember how their impact played an important role in our lives. So much success can be traced back to sometimes even seeming a small moment in your life changed the whole platform.

I celebrate those people who have made a difference in someones lives directing them to a more positive and successful life and career. Let us all for one moment as you read this close your eyes for a min and send out a positive message to those that helped you or your loved one(s) most in life. If they no longer are present in this life, send your positive energy out for their loved ones.

I caught up with him at the Latin Heritage Ceremony hosted by L.A's Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, downtown at City Hall. After the ceremony honoring Jaime Escalante, Sheila E and Jimmy Smits, guests were entertained by all of the above on stage out on the south lawn @ city Hall. The start to the Latino Heritage Month.

Do something nice for someone today!

Peace upon you
